Well folks it's official, Allen Iverson is a Sixers once again. His short-lived run at Denver, shorter time at Detroit, and even shorter stint at Memphis, has put Iverson back where he belongs, and back with a team that desperately needs him. Since his departure from Philadelphia in 2006, the team has, how do we say this nicely, slumped? They have the 4th worst NBA record this season, have gone through 3 different head coaches, 2 General Managers, and as a result, no one wants to come to their games!
But, things could change now that Iverson is on board once again. In his past run with the Sixers, he was awarded Rookie of the Year in his 2006-2007 season, named NBA MVP in 2001, and was the overall leader in scoring 4 times. Iverson jumps right into things Monday night, as the Sixers are set to play the Denver Nuggets, and will take over as starting guard, for recently injured Lou Williams. Fingers crossed Philadelphia!!
