Arena Football Coming Your Way in '10

One year ago, the Arena Football League faced economic hardships, and had to cancel its upcoming 2009 season. After filing Chapter 11 bankruptcy, the league needed to take time to restructure. Recently, it has been announced that arena football will be back in action this April, with a new league, Arena Football One, new commissioner, Jerry Kurz, and a new market.
Arena Football One will combine the teams of the former AFL with those from the af2, a league that had teams in smaller markets such as Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Milwaukee.

The previous league caught much exposure with big names such as co-owner of the Philadelphia Soul, Jon Bon-Jovi, and former player -gone-pro, Kurt Warner. The plan to appear in small and large cities, as well as increase in marketing outlets, could be what the newest arena league needs to survive. Team rosters and schedules are expected to be official by the end of the year, as we are all anticipating what this new league has in store.
