TAKKLE welcomes WePlay!

Today's story in the New York Times and the subsequent pickup on Cnet discussing the new venture WePlay, a social networking site for youth sports, certainly validates the huge potential of the sports social media space. Having been in this space for almost two years, we at Takkle are certainly excited about being mentioned in the article and want to thank Tim Arango and Stefanie Olsen! We're continuing to grow our network of high school athletes every day and are actively working at making the site even more attractive to our athletes. We're looking forward to welcoming WePlay's athletes to our platform once they enter high school!

Whereas WePlay puts a strong focus on celebrity athletes, Takkle is all about our community of athletes, recruiters, fans and former players. We constantly add features and content that make it easier for members to communicate with each other and to share their passion for high school sports. Just last week, we launched high school rankings of the nation's best boys lacrosse and girls lacrosse players as well as baseball players.

And we're getting great feedback from the advertising community: in the last 12 months, we have been able to work with such leading brands as Nike, Wendy’s, Nintendo, Gatorade, New Balance and Procter and Gamble and created integrated, engaging campaigns on our platform. If you're interested in advertising with us, just give us a shout at advertising@takkle.com!

Thanks again to the Times and Cnet,

the TAKKLE team
